Position Overview
Cherry Hills Christian School is seeking a Christ-centered, passionate, and collaborative Middle School Bible Teacher who will joyfully partner in our mission to prepare students to live fully for God. The ideal candidate will be a devoted follower of Christ who is gifted in teaching Scripture, discipling students, and cultivating a classroom culture where faith and learning are deeply integrated.
Our teachers are more than instructors—they are mentors, shepherds, and spiritual leaders who model the love of Jesus and seek to fulfill the Great Commission through daily classroom life. This role requires a strong commitment to biblical literacy, spiritual formation, and equipping students to understand and apply God’s Word in their lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a Christ-centered, nurturing classroom environment that fosters spiritual growth, biblical understanding, and student engagement
- Design and deliver developmentally appropriate Bible curriculum that aligns with CHCS’s scope and sequence and supports a cohesive biblical worldview
- Teach scripture with clarity and depth, helping students interpret, apply, and live out biblical truth
- Guide students in spiritual disciplines such as prayer, worship, scripture memory, and reflection
- Assess student learning in both academic understanding and spiritual formation, providing meaningful feedback
- Disciple and mentor students, encouraging personal faith development and Christlike character
- Maintain consistent and meaningful communication with parents regarding students’ spiritual and academic growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate biblical principles across subject areas and foster a unified learning experience
- Participate actively in chapel services, prayer gatherings, and other spiritual life initiatives
- Uphold high standards of classroom management that reflect grace, consistency, and biblical principles
- Model the ideal team player traits—humble, hungry, people smart, positive, and loyal—in all interactions
- Contribute to the broader life of the school through involvement in events, discipleship opportunities, and community building

Reports To: Director of Middle School
Position Type: Full-time, exempt (40+ hrs/week)
Salary Range: $55,000 – $82,000
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 403B, PTO

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle that reflects biblical principles
- A deep commitment to the Great Commission and a passion for discipling middle school students
- Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, Theology, Education, or related field (master’s preferred)
- Teaching certification or willingness to pursue certification (if applicable)
- Strong knowledge of scripture and the ability to communicate biblical truth effectively to adolescents
- Experience in teaching, youth ministry, or discipleship with middle school students
- Ability to integrate faith authentically into teaching and student relationships
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- A collaborative spirit and desire to contribute to a mission-driven team
- Demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance instruction
- A growth mindset with a commitment to ongoing professional and spiritual development
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching Bible in a Christian or independent school setting
- Formal theological training or ministry experience
- Familiarity with middle school spiritual development and age-appropriate discipleship practices
- Experience in curriculum development for Bible or Christian education
- Coaching, extracurricular leadership, or missions involvement
