Job Description
As aDevOps & Automation Engineer at Garraio, you will design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications and related backend services within the MOAP Delivery scope. You will help standardize and automate build, test, and release processes, integrate quality gates, and collaborate closely with development teams and Client infrastructure teams to ensure reliable non-production environments (DEV/TEST/PREPROD). This role is ideal for early-career engineers who enjoy automation, improving delivery reliability, and supporting release and incident analysis through strong tooling and pipeline practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications and related backend services (Azure DevOps, Git, automated builds and deployments).
Set up and maintain build, test, and release processes, ensuring repeatability and traceability across environments.
Integrate quality gates into pipelines, including static code analysis, unit and integration tests, security scans, and artifact management (e.g., JFrog).
Configure and manage non-production environments (DEV, TEST, PREPROD) in cooperation with Client infrastructure teams.
Support release management activities, including preparing release packages for app stores/internal distribution and coordinating deployment windows.
Implement monitoring and logging integrations according to Client standards and support incident/problem analysis from a tooling and pipeline perspective.
Continuously improve delivery automation, pipeline performance, and reliability for both mobile and backend components.
Required Skills & Qualifications
0–5 years of experience in DevOps, build/release engineering, automation, or software engineering (including internships, academic projects, or relevant hands-on experience).
Hands-on experience with CI/CD concepts and pipeline implementation (preferably Azure DevOps).
Good working knowledge of Git and branching strategies; ability to troubleshoot common source control and pipeline issues.
Understanding of automated build, test, and deployment practices for mobile and/or backend services.
Familiarity with quality gates such as static code analysis, automated testing, and security scanning in CI/CD workflows.
Exposure to artifact repositories and package management (e.g., JFrog Artifactory or similar).
Basic understanding of monitoring/logging concepts and how to integrate tooling into delivery pipelines.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
Nice to Have
Experience with mobile CI/CD (iOS/Android) including signing, versioning, and packaging for app store/internal distribution.
Infrastructure-as-Code exposure (e.g., Terraform, ARM/Bicep) and configuration management practices.
Containerization and orchestration familiarity (Docker, Kubernetes) and/or cloud platform exposure (Azure preferred).
Experience implementing security best practices in pipelines (SAST/DAST, dependency scanning, secrets management).
Knowledge of release strategies (blue/green, canary) and environment promotion models.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
What Success Looks Like
CI/CD pipelines are stable, fast, and reliable, enabling consistent delivery for mobile and backend components.
Quality gates are integrated effectively, catching issues early and improving overall release confidence.
Non-production environments are well-managed and aligned with delivery needs, reducing deployment friction and rework.
Release preparation and deployment coordination run smoothly with clear traceability and minimal manual steps.
Monitoring/logging integrations support faster incident triage and continuous improvement of delivery tooling.
Additional Information
This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful mobile and backend delivery pipelines with international collaboration, learn modern DevOps practices, and grow your automation skillset in a supportive, delivery-focused environment.
