About the Role

Description

Join the Western Container Hattiesburg team and begin molding your future today! The ever-evolving team is looking for a Injection Production Tech to join us. Candidates must be able to work night shift, 7:30 PM - 8 AM on a 3x2x3 shift schedule weekend and occasional holiday availability.

Western Container is a $400 million supplier of PET plastic bottles to the #1 soft drink brand in the world - Coca-Cola. We supply over 5.8 billion bottles and preforms annually to Coke bottlers throughout the western United States.

What to expect as an Injection Production Tech


Production Techs are the front line of our production team, they work to use their understanding of processing and our equipment to perform quality checks frequently. Innovative thinking is encouraged and basic troubleshooting is also a large part of this role. Our plants are highly automated with ever-changing processes and technology, training, development, and safety top our priorities. Maintaining a clean, safe and orderly work area is a must! Use of basic computer skills to correctly complete paperwork. Good written and verbal communication skills are utilized frequently.

High School Diploma or GED preferred, prior work experience (three years or more with one employer), may be considered

Ideal candidates have one year of Injection Molding experience or a strong desire to learn

Requirements

  • Ability to follow directions and work well in a team
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Interested in Continuous Improvement and able to thrive in a self-directed environment
  • Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations
  • Prolonged periods working on feet
  • Must be able push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time
  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced
