Lake Area Discovery Center is seeking a Part-Time Preschool Assistant Teacher to support a preschool classroom at Discovery Center location in White Bear Lake. This role works closely with the Lead Teacher and classroom team to provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for infants 6 weeks-15 months old.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Lead Teacher in an infant classroom
  • Assist with daily activities and infant care
  • Help create a positive, nurturing environment for young children
  • Supervise and engage children during play, learning, and care
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom
  • Communicate with teaching staff and support classroom planning
  • Follow Minnesota DHS licensing guidelines

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young children in childcare or early education preferred
  • Coursework or training in Early Childhood Education or related field is helpful
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and families
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • $18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on education and experience
  • Year-round position (12 months)
  • 32 hours Paid Time Off (PTO)
