Anthony L. Jordan Health Corporation (AJHC) is a level three patient centered medical home accredited by the Joint Commission and has served Rochester’s northeast area residents for 45 years. We acquired Brown Square Health Center and Woodward Health Center on August 26, 2011 to preserve comprehensive healthcare services for patients in Rochester's northwest and southwest neighborhoods. We opened medical and dental suites at Andrews Terrace, Glenwood Gardens and Kennedy Tower in addition to the primary care suite at our long-standing Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program on Upper Falls Boulevard. We went on to open an Urgent Care service at our Holland Street location, and a primary care office in Canandaigua in 2013, and recently preserved care for adolescents by maintaining the continuity of care at Threshold's former sites on Parsells Avenue and at the Franklin Educational Academy. About the Role

Description

The health services that became the Anthony L Jordan Health Corporation (Jordan Health) began more than 100 years ago, in 1904. As one of the first 5 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) established in the nation, its roots are steeped in service to those who face barriers to health and health care, meeting their need for comprehensive medical, dentistry, behavioral health, and community services. Starting in northeast Rochester, NY, Jordan Health has since expanded to become a network of primary care offices and health centers serving residents living in three quadrants of Rochester, NY and in Canandaigua, N.Y. 


Jordan Health is now seeking a Chief Compliance Officer who, under the guidance of the Chief Executive Officer, is primarily responsible for leading Jordan Health’s efforts to assure that Jordan Health complies at all times with all laws and regulations governing Jordan Health as a Federally Qualified Health center, an article 28 Diagnostic and Treatment Center, a New York State not-for-profit corporation, and related to Jordan Health’s operations. The Chief Compliance officer, as staff to the CEO, monitors and reports the results of Jordan Health’s compliance/ethic efforts and by provides guidance to the Board of Directors and senior management team on matters relating to compliance. The Chief Compliance Officer has unfettered access to the Board of Directors. Together with the Compliance Committee, the Chief Compliance Officer is authorized to implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective compliance program.

Requirements

The Chief Compliance Officer will ensure that:

· Jordan Health is in full compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, statutes, and regulations

· Jordan Health’s compliance education program is regarded as effective 

· An ethical culture is a living part of Jordan Health’s philosophy and Jordan Health’s everyday business operations

· They are regarded as the role model for ethical management behavior and champion for Jordan Health’s Compliance Program, Compliance Code of Conduct, and the Privacy and Security Compliance Plans 


Education And Experience Required:

· 4 year degree from an accredited institution and minimum of 3 years in a compliance or regulatory role; 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare compliance 

· Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory/fraud/abuse laws, Medicare/Medicaid regulatory/billing requirements and HIPPA 

· Comprehensive knowledge of clinical operations and management of an effective compliance and ethics program, including training, risk assessment, monitoring, auditing, investigating issues, addressing violations and monitoring corrective actions;

· Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to communicate with diverse groups of individuals;

· Reputation for integrity and willingness to challenge management on compliance issues; and 

· Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, and ability to work within a team 


Licenses And Certifications: 

· Certified HealthCare Compliance Officer preferred


Special Skills, Knowledge Required:

· Ability to translate and communicate complex topics in a variety of forums, tailoring communications to effectively fit and influence targeted audience; 

· Well-organized and self-directed with the ability to work collaboratively with individuals across Jordan Health and outside of Jordan Health 

· Ability to communicate clearly, share information and serve as a coach or mentor at all levels of Jordan Health 

· Flexibility to adapt quickly to new challenges
