About the Role

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Finishing Technician who is responsible for performing finishing operations on manufactured parts and products to meet quality, cosmetic, and functional standards. This role includes deburring, sanding, polishing, painting, coating, cleaning, and inspecting components prior to shipment or assembly. The Finishing Technician ensures parts meet customer specifications while maintaining high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform finishing operations such as deburring, grinding, sanding, polishing, painting, or coating on metal, plastic, or composite parts
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment to achieve required surface quality and dimensional accuracy
  • Prepare parts for finishing, including cleaning, masking, or prepping surfaces
  • Inspect finished products for defects, scratches, or inconsistencies, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards
  • Operate finishing machinery safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work orders, and safety guidelines
  • Report any defects, process issues, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors
  • Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to continuously improve finishing processes
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspection and production logs
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health, safety, and environmental regulations

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of experience in finishing, fabrication, or related manufacturing operations
  • Knowledge of finishing techniques such as polishing, grinding, painting, or powder coating
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Manual dexterity and ability to work with small parts and precision tools
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
