Lower School Resource Teacher

Description

The Lower School Resource Teacher serves students in K4 through 4th grade by providing engaging, creative instruction in both visual arts and music. This role enriches the educational experience by fostering creativity, expression, and a love for the arts while integrating biblical truth into each lesson. The teacher will cultivate a Christ-centered environment where students are encouraged to discover and develop their God-given talents.

Classroom Environment

• Create a structured, engaging, and age-appropriate learning atmosphere
• Maintain effective classroom management aligned with school expectations
• Prepare, organize, and care for art supplies, instruments, and instructional materials

Collaboration & Communication

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support overall student development
• Communicate with parents regarding student participation and growth
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities

Spiritual Leadership

• Model Christ-like character in all interactions
• Integrate biblical principles into art and music instruction
• Encourage students to use their gifts and creativity to glorify God

Education Requirements

Bachelors Degree - Minimum Requirement

2 years minimum teaching experience
