Automated Textile Cutting Systems Operator

Description

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Gerber Paragon HX Cutter Operator to join our production team in Hauppauge, New York. This position is ideal for candidates with experience operating automated cutting systems in textile, apparel, industrial fabric, upholstery, composites, or related manufacturing environments.

Candidates with experience on Gerber, Lectra, Eastman, Taurus, or similar automated cutting equipment are strongly encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

• Operate and maintain a Gerber Paragon HX automated cutting system -https://www.gerbertechnology.com/pdf/Gerber-Paragon_E.pdf
• Review work orders, markers, and production schedules 
• Load and cut fabrics/materials accurately and efficiently 
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor operational issues 
• Perform quality inspections on cut components 
• Work closely with production and CAD/CAM teams 
• Maintain a clean and organized cutting area 
• Help maximize material utilization and minimize waste

Requirements

• Experience operating automated cutting systems or CNC cutting equipment 
• Familiarity with textile, apparel, upholstery, industrial fabric, or composite materials 
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability 
• Strong attention to detail and production accuracy 
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines 
• Experience with Gerber AccuMark or CAD/CAM systems is a plus 
• Gerber Paragon HX experience preferred, but not required
