Job Description

  1. Summary:

The following job description is for the Project Leader for MRO operations at BMW Manufacturing. This position is responsible to manage SAP requirements, projects, compliance, and correct functionality of system. Project Leader also manages all activities related to development of training curriculum for new associates in operations, as well as inventory management. Additionally, act as support for Team Leaders. 


  1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. Manage SAP dashboards.
  1. Research and disposition parts exceptions
  2. Lead efforts to locate missing parts.
    1. Ensure proper systematic material movements.
    2. Project planning and project support for SAP changes and upgrades.
    3. Mentor, train, support and solve problems in SAP for BLG end users sitewide.
    4. Initiate system best practices and continuous improvement activities.
    5. Ensure proper training of Hall Attendants and Specialists. Training includes but is not limited to:
  1. Storeroom operations
  2. SAP/WMS systems
  3. Put away process
  4. Cycle counts
  5. Order requisitions/Goods issuing
    1. Escalate additional training needs to management.
    2. Inventory management/Parts verification.
  1. Perform scanning audits.
  2. Prepare and submit all reports and KPI’s as assigned by management.
  3. Lead investigation into operational/system issues.
  4. Lean management.
  5. Oversee site projects as identified by management.
  6. Complete other tasks as assigned.


  1. Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Inventory & Training Specialist will report to this role.

  • SAP experience in Logistics
