About the Role
<div>We are seeking a detail-oriented <strong>Industrial Engineer</strong> to improve production efficiency, streamline workflows, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role will analyze processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing operations while maintaining quality and safety standards. <strong>This position is 100% onsite.</strong></div><div><br></div><div><strong>About the job</strong></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Location: </strong>Milpitas, CA [Onsite]</div><div><br></div><div><strong>Employment type:</strong> Full-time, Exempt</div><div><br></div><div><strong>Department: </strong>Engineering</div><div><br></div><div><strong>Report To:</strong> Engineering Manager</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></div><ul><li>Focuses on line balancing, cycle time reduction, labor optimization, workstation design, and productivity improvement.</li><li>Works on process setup, SMT/THT assembly optimization, tooling, fixtures, and production troubleshooting.</li><li>Improves soldering, PCB assembly, testing, and manufacturing yield using SPC and Lean methods.</li><li>Lean / Continuous Improvement Engineer</li><li>Drives Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, waste reduction, and operational excellence projects.</li><li>NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer</li><li>Supports transferring new products from design to mass production and ensuring manufacturability.</li><li>Handles capacity planning, takt time analysis, headcount planning, and factory utilization.</li><li>Supply Chain / Planning Analyst</li><li>Coordinates material flow, inventory optimization, and production scheduling.</li><li>Focuses on defect reduction, root cause analysis, CAPA, IPC standards, and customer quality metrics.</li></ul><div><strong>Requirements:</strong></div><div><strong>Education/Qualification</strong></div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field</li></ul><div><strong>Experience</strong></div><ul><li>3+ years in similar position</li><li>3+ years working in electronic manufacturing</li></ul><div><strong>Skills/Competencies</strong></div><div><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></div><ul><li>Strong attention to detail and organization</li><li>Clear communication and teamwork</li><li>Good time management and prioritization</li><li>Problem-solving and critical thinking</li><li>Adaptability in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn</li><li>Multi-tasking and Data analytic</li></ul><div><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></div><ul><li>Six Sigma / DMAIC</li><li>Time studies & work measurement</li><li>SMT/PCB assembly knowledge</li><li>Excel, Power BI, SQL</li><li>MES/ERP systems</li><li>AutoCAD or factory layout tools</li><li>Data analysis & KPI tracking</li><li>Common KPIs: UPH (Units Per Hour); OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness); FPY (First Pass Yield); Scrap rate; Cycle time; Labor efficiency</li></ul><div><strong>Benefits:</strong></div><ul><li>Paid Time Off</li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision</li><li>401K</li></ul><div><br></div><div>The expected pay rate for this position is <strong>$120,000.00 - $140,000.00</strong> depending on specific skills and work experience.</div>
