Job Description
We’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer to take a leading role in designing and delivering enterprise‑grade AI solutions that make a real impact. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with collaborative leadership, working closely with product, architecture and security colleagues to ensure AI systems are safe, scalable and valuable. What you’ll be doing:
- Providing technical leadership across the design and delivery of production AI and generative AI solutions
- Designing, building and operating scalable AI services using Python and Azure AI platforms
- Leading the development and optimisation of LLM and RAG‑based solutions beyond proof of concept
- Owning MLOps and GenAIOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring and lifecycle management
- Deploying and running containerised AI services using Kubernetes and AKS
- Setting and promoting engineering standards, patterns and best practice across teams
- Coaching, mentoring and supporting other engineers to grow their skills and confidence
- Collaborating with product, architecture, security and governance stakeholders to deliver trusted AI
Who we’re looking for:
- Extensive hands‑on experience building and running production AI and machine learning systems
- Strong Python skills and deep understanding of machine learning and evaluation fundamentals
- Proven experience delivering generative AI solutions using LLMs and RAG architectures
- Strong knowledge of Azure AI services and designing solutions for regulated environments
- Experience leading MLOps or GenAIOps practices, including CI/CD and platform automation
- Solid understanding of containerisation, Kubernetes and infrastructure as code
- Experience making and explaining complex technical decisions to varied stakeholders
- A collaborative approach with the ability to mentor others and influence positive outcomes
