About the role
The Commercial Controller (G7) is the end‑to‑end finance owner for the accuracy, review and analytics of Gross to Net Sales, Trade Spend, Pricing, Mix, OU R&D and OU OPEX within the FPCRA model working with commercial finance teams and FPCRA teams.
The role ensures financial integrity, disciplined governance, and insight‑led decision support across actuals, forecast, and outlook, while acting as the primary partner to OU teams on the areas covered.
This role is expected to lead complexity, influence stakeholders, and support in shaping the commercial performance narrative, not just report results.
Role Responsibilities
Commercial Performance Ownership
Own end‑to‑end accuracy/analytics from FPCRA perspective on Gross to Net Sales, Trade Spend, Pricing, Mix, OU R&D and OU OPEX including initiatives relating to this from FPCRA perspective (eg. Unit of Measure for PV)
Act as the single point of contact within FPCRA for assigned markets, categories, or clusters on the areas covered
Ensure consistent and credible performance narrative/analytics across actuals, forecast, and plan
Controllership & Governance
Ensure strong commercial controllership, including:
o Trade spend accrual accuracy/policies adoption for OU working/collaborating with LOC/TSM teams
o Revenue recognition discipline
o Pricing / volume and mix treatment consistency across OU in line with finance manuals
o Review and Analysis of other P&L lines owned under OU/Acts as OU end to end controller
Review and challenge material commercial judgments, estimates, and risks from a controllership perspective
Partner with Accounting / COE and Compliance to ensure controls operate effectively
Planning, Forecasting & Outlook
Coordinate and review inputs into CMF, Forecast, and Plan cycles working with the P&F consolidation team and LOC
Challenge assumptions on volume, price, mix, and investment effectiveness and provide insight to OU teams and OU Finance
Ensure risks & opportunities are well defined, tracked, and owned by the LOC.
Performance Analytics & Insight
Deliver insight‑driven analytics (drivers, bridges, insights)
Translate performance into “so what / now what” for Commercial Leadership and FPCRA forums
Support MPRs, category reviews, and investment decisions with insights
Support reviews with global at OU level
Business Partnering
Act as trusted finance partner to Commercial, Category, and OU Leadership
Support decisions/analysis on pricing, promotions, portfolio mix, and investment trade‑off
Analysis of other P&L lines owned at OU level
Influence outcomes through fact‑based challenge and clear storytelling
FPCRA Integration & Leadership
Work seamlessly with OU teams, Controllers, FPCRA Analysts, and Consolidation teams
Ensure commercial insights are fully integrated into the broader FPCRA narrative
Contribute to FPCRA simplification, standardization, and capability uplift
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 8–10 years in financial controlling, FP&A, finance partnering roles within multinational companies.
Proven experience controllership, FP&A and related roles, working in a matrix environment.
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
Strong experience in finance controllership, FP&A and finance partnering roles
Solid understanding of financial controls, governance, and analysis
Proven ability to operate with professional judgment and appropriate escalation
Exposure to SOX or equivalent internal control environments
Experience in a shared services / hub / regional finance model/ complex environment
Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in digital tools (Advanced Excel, Power BI, SAP, SAC, AI tools).
Analysis for Office
Power BI (plus)
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Workday).
Advanced knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, and corporate finance.
Fluent in English (oral and written).
