About the Role

Description

The Management Team Lead / Supervisor – Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is responsible for leading a team of analysts supporting the Department of Labor (DOL) Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) program. This role oversees daily workflow operations involving electronic data processing, records validation, quality review, and administrative support activities within a fast-paced federal contracting environment.


The Supervisor ensures production goals, accuracy standards, and operational expectations are consistently achieved while maintaining compliance with established procedures, quality standards, and contractual requirements. This position plays a critical role in employee coaching, workforce coordination, training support, quality assurance, and operational communication between staff and leadership.


The ideal candidate is an organized and hands-on leader with experience supervising high-volume processing teams, monitoring operational metrics, and supporting performance-driven environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support teams of analysts responsible for electronic data processing, records review, validation, and administrative operations. 
  • Monitor employee productivity, workflow performance, quality metrics, and daily operational output. 
  • Coordinate assignments and balance workloads to ensure production targets and service expectations are met. 
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with established procedures, accuracy standards, and contractual requirements. 
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to staff members. 
  • Support onboarding, training, and certification activities to ensure employees are fully prepared prior to working independently. 
  • Serve as the primary liaison between operational staff and management regarding workflow updates, escalations, and operational concerns. 
  • Identify workflow challenges, process inefficiencies, and training needs, and recommend solutions to leadership. 
  • Assist in testing and evaluating new software systems, operational procedures, and workflow enhancements. 
  • Generate and analyze operational reports related to productivity, staffing, quality, and performance metrics. 
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), security protocols, and Government requirements. 
  • Foster a collaborative, professional, and customer-focused work environment. 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency, quality, and operational effectiveness. 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a supervisory, team lead, or operations support role. 
  • Experience supporting high-volume data processing, administrative operations, records management, claims processing, or workflow coordination preferred. 
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to monitor operational performance and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and reporting tools. 
  • Experience preparing and analyzing reports related to staffing, production, and operational metrics. 
  • Ability to provide coaching, mentorship, and training support to team members. 
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in a federal contracting environment. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting a federal government contract preferred. 
  • Experience in electronic data interchange (EDI), document processing, records management, or administrative support environments highly desirable. 
  • Familiarity with quality assurance, workflow optimization, and operational reporting preferred. 
  • Experience working in production-driven or deadline-oriented environments is a plus. 

Work Location

  • This position is hybrid in Chicago, IL after the successful completion of training activities.
  •  Management Team Lead / Supervisors – Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) are expected to maintain a consistent presence to support operational oversight, employee engagement, workflow coordination, training, and quality assurance activities.
