About the Role
Beach Front Property Management is seeking a hands-on District Property Manager to oversee a small portfolio of apartment communities across Whittier, Los Angeles, Huntington Park, Bell Gardens, and Newport Beach.
This position includes an onsite living requirement at one of the Whittier properties, along with weekly travel between assigned communities during the workday. The portfolio currently consists of approximately 115 total units across 8 residential properties.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, resident interaction, property operations, and working independently while still having support from leadership.
Portfolio Overview
The selected candidate will live onsite at the Whittier property and oversee multiple communities located in:
- Whittier
- Huntington Park
- Los Angeles
- Bell Gardens
- Newport Beach
Travel between properties is required throughout the week. Mileage support is provided through a monthly auto allowance.
Compensation & Housing Details
- $21.00–$23.00/hour DOE
- $200 Monthly Auto Allowance
- Onsite 1 Bed / 1 Bath Apartment Included
- Employee Rent: $677/month (Market rent value approximately $1,900+)
- Full-Time Schedule (40 hours weekly)
What You’ll Do
- Oversee daily operations across assigned apartment communities
- Handle resident relations, notices, lease compliance, and collections
- Coordinate maintenance requests, vendors, and unit turns
- Conduct inspections and support property upkeep standards
- Assist with leasing activity, renewals, and occupancy goals
- Manage deposit accounting and compliance timelines
- Travel between properties throughout the week based on portfolio needs
- Maintain communication with leadership regarding property performance
Requirements
- 2+ years of apartment or multifamily property management experience
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Comfortable managing multiple properties/sites
- Experience with Yardi, AppFolio, or similar property management software
- Knowledge of Fair Housing and California property management practices preferred
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Reliable transportation required
- Comfortable living onsite at the assigned Whittier property
