About the Role

Job Description

  • Prepare and produce a variety of baked goods including breads, pastries, breakfast bakery items, and healthy desserts, maintaining high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Support the Pastry Chef in creating and enhancing offerings for the signature Mövenpick Chocolate Hour, ensuring it remains a unique and memorable experience for guests.
  • Contribute bakery items for Meet Well banquets and events, ensuring timely preparation and service that meets guest expectations.
  • Assist in developing and refining recipes under the guidance of the Pastry Chef, with attention to consistency, nutrition, and dietary requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of products in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor inventory, report needs, and assist with cost control measures in the bakery section.
  • Supervise and guide junior colleagues and trainees in bakery techniques, fostering teamwork and efficiency.
  • Participate in kitchen briefings and contribute ideas for improving bakery offerings in line with guest preferences and wellness trends.

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or diploma with a focus on baking and 2-3 years of professional kitchen experience
  • Proficiency in various baking techniques, equipment usage, and food safety standards (with relevant certification)
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Creativity and attention to detail in recipe development and presentation
  • Knowledge of international baking trends and Thai cuisine
  • Experience in creating health-conscious baked goods and managing dietary restrictions
  • Thai and English proficiency required
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
