Summary
The Forklift Operator Ground Man performs under the supervision of a Foreman/Lead. Duties include responsible for loading and unloading incoming and outgoing job site materials
Roles and Responsibilities
The Forklift Operator Ground Man will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform their role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Note that the areas listed are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by co-workers assigned to this role. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this job.
- Responsible for moving materials using Forklift, or Bobcats
- Responsible for directing incoming and outgoing delivery trucks
- Responsible for loading and unloading job site materials
- Communicate with crane operator and other team members
- Performs rigging and other duties
- Perform traffic flaggin operations
- Participates in training/certifications
- Ensures a safe work environment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have done ground man at a construction site
- Helpful, or a plus if know how to operate the Telehandler Forklift type
