JOB DESCRIPTION


Position Title: Data Quality Analyst


Employment Classification: Full Time; Hourly, Non-Exempt


Shift: M-F: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM


Reports to: Assistant Director of Data and Evaluation


Department: Compliance and Quality Assurance


Position Summary: The Data Quality Analyst will ensure that complete and accurate data is entered into Orangewood’s database and third-party databases by coordination with Orangewood Staff and external collaborators.

Major Areas of Responsibility

This role focuses on maintaining data integrity and reporting excellence through cross-departmental collaboration. The primary objective is to ensure that all information within Orangewood’s databases is accurate, compliant, and ready for grant and contract submissions.

  • Collaborates with Data and Evaluation Team to ensure accurate data entry into applicable databases.
  • Consults to multiple programs.
  • Assist with ongoing data entry on an as needed basis.
  • Assist with data migration between different databases.
  • Attends relevant meetings to collaborate with Orangewood staff.
  • Obtain and maintain relevant HMIS Certifications through engaging in ongoing trainings
  • Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor


Knowledge, Skill, and Experience Requirements:

  • Experience with data entry, HMIS or Cal Optima data entry preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience working with a cloud-based database systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables (1-2 years).
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to assess data quality through spot checking data on an ad hoc basis.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work from the Orangewood Foundation daily during core working hours.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable presenting oneself in community settings.
  • Possess a valid California driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance. Position requires DMV clearance.
  • Pre-employment screenings include criminal background check, FBI/DOJ fingerprinting, TB test, drug screen, and previous employment verification.

Working Environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Position may require use of personal vehicle. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, typing, bending and lifting up to approximately 15 lbs. (i.e. tables, chairs, food, water, etc.)
  • This position will require in-office days at our foundation located in Santa Ana, CA.
  • Modification to work schedule may be made based on needs of the Foundation.
