(Must have Lifeguard, CPR with AED, and First Aid Certifications)
SUMMARY
Monitor activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and assist swimmers by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe areas.
- Rescues swimmers who are in danger of drowning and administers CPR and first aid.
- Maintains visual observation of the pool and members.
- Maintains vigilance and rescue-ready body positioning, wearing the rescue hip pack and rescue tube.
- Maintains order in the swimming area.
- Inspects facilities for cleanliness.
- Clean the pool, pool deck, and locker rooms.
- Determines chlorine content and pH value of water with a water testing kit.
- Store and maintain pool equipment in good order.
- Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to work morning, evening, and weekend hours.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must have a high school diploma or a general education degree (GED).
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
- Lifeguard Certification
- CPR Certification with AED
- First-Aid Certification
