What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

• Lead the Engineering team for all Engineering activities for Howden Products and Packages in India; should be to able leverage this knowledge for Howden-Global Engineering support.

• Develop packages for India optimizing technical parameters and cost and maximising sourcing from India.

• Provide engineering support from sales engagement. Sourcing, project execution and long term aftermarket sustainability

• Coach, develop and mentor Engineering team members to engage proactively with the wider Howden business units to adopt best engineering standards into both product and documentation standard work

Your Education Should Be…

• Leadership skills – never accept the status quo, relentless focus on improvement. Resilience in the face of resistance and challenge
• Bachelor’s Degree Calibre in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, having experience in handling Rotary Product design, Modules, and Package designs  with an organization of repute is essential
• Previous experience in Oil and Gas for various compressor products’ end to end detailed engineering
• Knowledge of international standards (API 618/619/617/672/673, ASME, TEMA, etc) and specifications
• Broad range of communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, senior management, and shop floor personnel.
• Change Management. Use a collaborative working style to affect change across the organization positively
• Coaching others to achieve improved performance and personal development
• Data analysis and management skills. Present facts to drive outcomes
• Handling of 3-D platforms for Equipment designs and Package Design.
• Working with International Organisations and collaborating with colleagues from different cultures and geographies is essential.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

• All Technical Documentation required in Project Detailed engineering of Howden Rotary Product packages
  - GA, P&ID, Foundation and other required drawings
  - Datasheets for compressors, Blowers, Motors, static equipment’s  and other items involved in packages
  - All other documents required as per the project requirements
• Handling the Engg team in order to get the desired output meeting the project and customer requirements
• All Products under Howden Portfolio need to be covered under the engineering activities with the support from respective product teams Viz.
  - Compressor (Recip, Diaphragm, Screw, Centri etc)
  - Blowers (For Oil & Gas and Water Market)
  - Centrifugal Fans
  - Steam Turbines

• Should be able to lead a team of highly competent engineers.
• Lead Design to cost Initiatives.
• Develop Modularisation to optimise cost and time.Product Optimisation for target Markets
• On time and high quality standards inputs to enable smooth project execution
• Cost optimisation of products.On time  technical documentation / reports and submissions
• Technical presentations to customers/customer meetings for detailed engineering stage
• Supervision and preparation of information to support proposals department at tendering stage. Lead Early Engagement on behalf of Engineering team.
