Custom Aire Inc. is a family-owned HVAC contractor with over 57 years of experience serving residential, commercial, and industrial clients throughout Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, and surrounding areas. We provide full-service HVAC solutions—from design and fabrication to installation, service, and maintenance.

Our work spans a wide range of systems, including:

  • Heat pumps, air handlers, and ventilation systems
  • Gas, oil, and propane heating systems and boilers
  • Ductless and fully ducted AC systems
  • Rooftop units and indoor air quality solutions
  • Custom ductwork and metal fabrication

Position Overview

We’re seeking experienced HVAC Service Technicians to handle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance for residential and light commercial customers. This role is ideal for a technician who takes pride in their work, communicates well with customers, and wants to maximize their earning potential.


Schedule & Compensation

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Overtime: Available as needed
  • On-call: Weekend standby rotation with stipend

Compensation:

  • $38–$42/hour (based on experience)
  • Annual earnings: $75,000 – $100,000+
  • Additional income through overtime, bonuses, and sales incentives

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems in residential and light commercial settings
  • Communicate clearly with customers about issues, solutions, and pricing
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • 8+ years of HVAC service experience
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across a wide range of HVAC systems
  • Experience with:
    • Forced air, ductless, and hydronic systems
    • Gas, oil, and electric equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
  • Experience presenting repair/replacement options to customers
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Basic sheet metal knowledge
