About the Role

Overview

Responsible for facilitating the improvement in the overall quality and performance excellence. Obtain appropriate clinical documentation through extensive interaction and collaboration with physicians, nursing, documentation specialists and coders. To ensure that appropriate patient centered clinical data and quality metrics adequately reflect the clinical care provided. Ensure clinical information utilized in the reporting of quality outcomes is complete and accurate. Consistently, the individual will maintain ongoing education relative to CMS patient safety indicators, mortalities and other quality metrics.

 

Qualifications

Education required: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

Education preferred: BSN or MSN

License, Certification and/or registration: Current Alabama or Multistate Nursing License required

Experience: Prefer at least 5-7 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting. Prefer a least 1 year of quality review experience, if not prior CDI experience, applicant will be educated to current standards

Additional skills/abilities:

  • Medical/Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Critical Care Nursing experience
  • Word and Excel experience preferred
  • Time management skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Critical thinking
