About the Role


Position Summary:

Reporting to the Division President, the Regional Managing Director provides senior leadership oversight for BNI’s regional performance, growth, and franchise effectiveness in India. This role leads through senior leaders to ensure consistent execution of enterprise strategy, delivery of sustainable growth, operational excellence, and strong adherence to BNI’s standards, values, and governance requirements.

The Regional Managing Director partners closely with national and global stakeholders to translate enterprise priorities into regionally executable strategies, while exercising sound judgment across financial stewardship, risk management, leadership development, and market expansion. Success in this role requires the ability to operate across complexity, influence senior leaders without reliance on direct authority, and balance shortterm performance with longterm organizational health.

 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

Enterprise & Regional Leadership

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight to Regional Directors and other senior regional leaders, ensuring alignment with BNI’s enterprise goals, standards, and operating model.
  • Lead through influence and clarity of direction, establishing expectations, success measures, and performance rhythms that drive accountability and results at scale.
  • Interpret enterprise strategy and translate it into cohesive regional priorities and execution plans.

Growth Strategy & Market Development

  • Guide regional growth strategies, including chapter development, membership growth, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Evaluate regional market dynamics, risks, and opportunities to inform shortand longterm growth planning.
  • Partner with growth and launch leaders to strengthen leadership pipelines, ensure effective scaling, and optimize growth execution.

Franchise & Senior Leader Enablement

  • Serve as a strategic advisor and coach to senior regional and franchise leaders, supporting their effectiveness in driving performance, engagement, and compliance.
  • Ensure franchise standards, policies, and agreements are consistently upheld through structured review, accountability, and escalation mechanisms.
  • Act as a conduit between regional leadership and global stakeholders to surface systemlevel needs, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support onboarding, transitions, and leadership continuity to maximize longterm regional value creation.

Operational Excellence & Financial Stewardship

  • Oversee regional operational performance, key metrics, and financial outcomes to ensure sustainability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Analyze business and financial data to identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimization, and process improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance scalability, consistency, and leader effectiveness across regions.

Risk Management & Organizational Health

  • Identify and proactively mitigate operational, financial, compliance, and reputational risks.
  • Promote strong governance, ethical decisionmaking, and consistent application of standards.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development among senior leaders.
  • Any additional duties needed to help demonstrate our core values, drive our vision, and fulfill our mission.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ year experience in BNI at a Director level or higher 
  • Reside in the U.S. with requirement to travel ~ 50% of the time
  • Strong leadership and people skills
  • Demonstrated ability to champion change, influence & drive results in a franchised organization 
  • Able to understand complex issues & can clearly articulate complex ideas 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong analytical abilities toidentifyissues & self-start programs to address 
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
