The Role
El Técnico Especialista Senior en IBM i es responsable de la administración avanzada, soporte y optimización de entornos IBM Power Systems en contextos de alta criticidad. Aporta un alto nivel de especialización técnica en IBM i y DB2 for i, asegurando la estabilidad, rendimiento y evolución de las plataformas, y colaborando estrechamente con equipos de consultoría y clientes en entornos productivos complejos.
Who You Are
Funciones principales
- Administración y soporte de entornos IBM Power Systems.
- Gestión del sistema operativo IBM i:
- Instalación y aplicación de parches (PTFs).
- Actualización de versiones del sistema operativo.
- Administración y optimización de DB2 for i:
- Análisis de rendimiento y consultas.
- Uso de herramientas como Index Advisor y Visual Explain.
- Soporte a incidencias y tareas de mantenimiento preventivo.
- Documentación de procedimientos técnicos y buenas prácticas.
- Colaboración con equipos de consultoría y clientes en entornos críticos.
Requisitos
- Experiencia demostrable como técnico/a de sistemas IBM i.
- Conocimientos sólidos de:
- IBM Power Systems
- Sistema operativo IBM i
- Instalación de parches y actualización de versiones
- DB2 for i
- Experiencia con herramientas de análisis de base de datos:
- Index Advisor
- Visual Explain
Se valorará positivamente
- Conocimientos de PowerHA.
- Experiencia con BRMS.
- Uso de iDoctor para análisis de rendimiento.
- Entornos de alta disponibilidad y continuidad de negocio.
- Buen nivel de documentación y orientación a calidad de servicio.
Idioma español requerido.
