Associate Lecturer - CM2105 Data Processing and Visualisation (HE3)

Job Description
The aim of this module is to develop skills needed to process information and provide an understanding of statistical methods to analyse the resulting data. The techniques studied will enable data collection from a range of sources, including files and the web. The module will cover Python modules that can easily manipulate and convert information to extract data. Statistics to describe collections of data will be studied, along with basic methods to derive correlations and test simple hypotheses.
- Period of teaching: 15 hours across one - two months.
- To understand the content of the module well, communicate with the module leader to understand the expectations on the module, work closely with University Partner Programme Director and module leader on the content for tutorial delivery.
- To provide feedback to the module leader and SIM on challenges in delivery, student management issue etc.
- To attend SIM and University Partner lecturers' meetings.
- The candidate will need to meet with the Programme Team and University Partner faculty before, during and after the module to discuss about the module delivery and student feedback. Additional meetings may be arranged as necessary.
Job Requirement
1. A Ph.D or Master's Degree in related discipline from a reputable university
2. 5 years of relevant work experience in the domain area
3. At least 2 years of relevant online teaching experience at the tertiary level
4. Familiar with learning management systems and online learning tools
5. Strong interpersonal, presentation and written and verbal communication skills
6. Experience working or teaching in a multicultural or diverse environment is highly preferred
