Cloud Platform Operations Engineer – AWS

Job Description

The Cloud Platform Operations Engineer – AWS is responsible for the hands-on operation of the Imaging & Informatics cloud platform.

Your role:

  • Ensure day-to-day operation, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and platform services with high reliability and uptime.
  • Work closely with Cloud Operations Readiness Lead, product engineering teams, and service organization to ensure stable production environments.
  • Develop expertise in AWS operations, Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and monitoring, contributing to platform scalability and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Provision and manage AWS infrastructure and platform services, including configuration, scaling, patching, and upgrades.
  • Monitor environments and troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve critical incidents to ensure service continuity.

You're the right fit if you have :

  • 5–10 years in cloud/platform operations, strong hands-on experience with AWS production environments and incident management.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, monitoring), Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines, scripting (Python/Bash), and production troubleshooting.
  • a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog), and strong automation mindset with focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
