Job Description
To support the ongoing expansion of our fleet, we are seeking a First Engineer who is well presented, has a bright attitude and a team orientated individual to join our onboard Engineering team.
What You'll Do
Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Continued ongoing development and implementation of a Preventative Maintenance Program;
- Ordering of parts and equipment as required;
- Maintenance of firefighting equipment and safety gear;
- Engine maintenance and the cleanliness and general condition of the engine room including the emptying of used oil tanks;
- Maintenance of the pumps, hydraulic equipment, electrical equipment, lighting, and bridge equipment;
- Checking of voids and steering equipment;
- Bunkering of fuel and oil as required;
- Check and action the maintenance logbook;
- Comply with oil pollution regulations and maintain the oil record book;
- Comply with all regulations, ISM, codes of conduct and standards;
- Stand watch unless emergency mechanical and electrical matters need attention;
- Presentations and Engine room tours for guests;
- Responsible for the safety orientation of all new crew members as required.
What You'll Bring
The minimum requirements are:
- Engineer Class 1 or 2 (STCW95);
- Engineer Watchkeeper CoC with First Engineer endorsement;
- ASSB;
- Crowd control and Crisis Management;
- International AMSA Medical;
- First Aid or Medical Care on Ships & CPR;
- Passport
- MSIC Card;
- Passenger ship experience preferred.

Rosters will require a commitment of up to 6 weeks duration for domestic voyages and up to 8 weeks for international voyages.
