This position offers:

$500.00 SIGN-ON BONUS

New hires must meet employment eligibility requirements:

Bonus will be paid out upon completion of 90 days of employment with total net amount paid after taxes.



Job Summary


The PHC Technician is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and maintaining the health and aesthetic quality of ornamental trees, shrubs, and turf on residential and commercial properties. This role includes performing inspections, applying treatments, operating specialized equipment, and maintaining accurate records. The PHC Technician plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to company values, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities

  •  Inspect trees, shrubs, and turf to identify pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and environmental stress.
  •  Record site conditions, plant health observations, and treatment recommendations.
  •  Safely and effectively apply fertilizers, soil amendments, and pest/disease control treatments (both organic and conventional).
  •  Operate spray rigs, hand sprayers, spreaders, and other specialized equipment in compliance with all state and local regulations.
  •  Perform pruning and other landscape maintenance tasks to support plant health.
  •  Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are kept clean, presentable, and in proper working condition.
  •  Assist with loading, transporting, and applying soil, mulch, and other materials.
  •  Maintain accurate logs of treatments, materials used, and site observations.
  •  Follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  •  Support continuous improvement by adopting new practices, tools, and technologies.
  •  Communicate with clients and team members regarding plant health concerns, treatments performed, and future recommendations.
  •  Provide excellent customer service by being professional, courteous, and responsive

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

  •  Solid understanding of plant biology, pest/disease identification, and horticultural practices.
  •  Minimum 1 year of chemical/spray application experience or 4+ years in the green industry.
  •  Valid driver’s license; clean driving record.
  •  Pesticide Applicator’s License (or ability to obtain).
  •  Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
  •  Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  •  Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  •  Ability to use hand tools, application equipment, and basic software (Aspire, Outlook, Excel, etc.).

Physical Requirements

  •  Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, and climb.
  •  Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. and ability to carry loads up to 50 feet.
  •  Frequent use of hands and arms for handling tools and equipment.
  •  Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, with occasional exposure to loud noise, fumes, and chemicals.
