About the Role
STRATEGIC
  • Manage day-to-day Civil and Electrical store operations including receipt, storage, issuance, and housekeeping.
  • Verify civil materials against LPOs, delivery notes, approved submittals, and drawings; coordinate inspections with QA/QC.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, bin cards, ERP/system entries, and conduct periodic reconciliation.
  • Ensure materials are issued strictly against approved Material Requisitions (MR) with full traceability.
  • Maintain complete store documentation including GRNs, MRs, MIRs, test certificates, delivery challans, and return notes.
  • Ensure proper stacking, segregation, and preservation of cement, steel, shuttering, aggregates, precast items, and chemicals.
  • Coordinate with civil engineers and planning teams to ensure timely material availability as per construction schedules.

 

OPERATIONAL

  • Supervise unloading, handling, stacking, and movement of Civil and Electrical materials at site stores.
  • Ensure FIFO practices for cement, chemicals, and consumables.
  • Monitor shelf life, storage conditions, and weather protection for sensitive materials.
  • Maintain segregation of approved, rejected, surplus, and returnable materials.
  • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and initiate replenishment requests.
  • Support internal, client, and consultant audits (DEWA / TRANSCO, where applicable).
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping, access control, and safety in civil store areas.


PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Lead and supervise Store Supervisors, Storekeepers, and Helpers assigned to civil and electrical stores.
  • Allocate duties, monitor productivity, and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Train store staff on proper material handling, documentation, and safety practices.
  • Support performance reviews and capability development of store personnel.

 

PRODUCT/PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

  • Identify opportunities to optimize civil and electrical store layout, storage methods, and material flow.
  • Support implementation of ERP/SAP or digital inventory control systems.
  • Recommend improvements to reconciliation, reporting, and preservation processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to minimize loss, delays, and re-handling.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Civil/Electrical Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management).
  • 10–15 years of experience in store or warehouse operations in the UAE.
  • Minimum 6–8 years handling civil and electrical materials for substation, power, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience on Dubai / UAE projects (DEWA / TRANSCO preferred).
  • Warehouse / Inventory Management Certification.
  • ERP / SAP Inventory Control Training.
  • Strong knowledge of civil and electrical materials used in substation construction.
  • Understanding of LPO, GRN, MR, MIR, test certificates, and store documentation.
  • Inventory control, FIFO, and preservation techniques.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/store management systems.
  • Knowledge of HSE requirements related to civil material handling.
