Description
The Parts Warehouse Associate is hired by, reports to and is evaluated by the Parts Manager. The Parts Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, stocking, and distributing of parts and accessories within the parts department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. The Parts Warehouse Associate works in collaboration with the Parts Manager, parts department team members, vendors, and customers to further the goals and objectives of Delta Group. Other job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Parts Department Responsibilities
- Assists in unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching up paperwork and verifying counts.
- Opens crates and other packages.
- Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color or product code.
- Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, staged or shipped.
- Picks parts and re-boxes as necessary for vendor returns.
- Prepares proper paperwork for shipping, operates UPS machine and calls truckers as necessary to facilitate deliveries.
- Assists in cycle counting, ensuring inventory numbers are accurate.
- Enters inventory into system using computer.
- Assists in physical year-end inventory.
- Ensures warehouse is always clean and orderly.
- Focuses on safety first and reports any unsafe conditions to the Parts Manager.
Team Leadership
- Develops and maintains open communication among employees, customers, vendors, partners, and suppliers.
- Encourages and promotes a collaborative working relationship between the parts, sales, and service departments.
Customer Service
- Handles all customer questions, concerns, and complaints expeditiously.
- Reinforces a philosophy of “fix it right the first time”.
- Believes in always “under promising and over delivering” when providing a customer an estimate for required parts and supplies.

- Ability to get around the dealership and grounds for various tasks.
- Ability to lift or move 25 pounds, and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to tolerate up and down movement with bending or stooping, including reaching above and below shoulder height with arms and hands.
- Ability to be on one’s feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to climb a ladder with the ability to carry an object while climbing.
- Ability to operate equipment or other power equipment as necessary.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds of force.
- Ability to load/unload and utilize tools.

- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Warehouse experience preferred.
- Must be skilled in operating a sit-down forklift.
