About The Company
Founded by Matt Ross in September of 2012 “one river” west of New York City, One River School of Art + Design has embarked on a mission to transform art education in America. Today, our innovative program teaches thousands of students in 14 schools across 6 states with many more openings on the horizon. One River School has developed a proprietary method for teaching art and digital design programs to students of all ages in a state of the art facility. Our process allows students to have more fun, make inspiring artwork, develop new friendships and grow their art making skills along the way. Our exhibition program has become a national taste-maker for emerging artists across the country. We present the most current, and compelling artworks in our school galleries. Inevitably, our exhibition series supports working artists and our mission to create more awareness for contemporary art. Our expansion creates numerous opportunities for communities across America through our unique franchise program, and the compelling career opportunities we are creating in the arts.
About the Role

Digital Art Teacher (Grades 3–12)
$25–$35 per hour

Inspire the Next Generation of Digital Creators.

At One River School, we believe digital art is one of the most powerful creative languages of our time. We’re looking for innovative, tech-savvy artists and educators to guide students in grades 3–12 through the evolving world of digital creation—from foundational skills to portfolio-level work.

If you’re passionate about contemporary digital tools, love mentoring young creatives, and believe technology should expand imagination—not limit it—we’d love to meet you.  We have weekday hours teaching our Summer Camp curriculum and weekend hours (Sunday availability is a huge plus).

What You’ll Do

Teach engaging weekly digital art classes for students in grades 3–12
Guide students in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate), Blender, Moho, digital drawing tablets, graphic design, digital illustration, animation, or related platforms
Support middle and high school students in developing portfolio-quality work
Introduce creative problem-solving, visual storytelling, and design thinking
Foster a studio culture that encourages experimentation, critique, and growth
Communicate thoughtfully with families about student progress and creative development

This isn’t just screen time—it’s creative time with purpose.
