Mountaineer Hickory/Conover Area - FedEx Delivery Driver - NO CDL NEEDED

Full Time position - Driver - Paid weekly - Paid training

The ideal candidates will be able to deal effectively with customers and maintain a positive FedEx image while making deliveries and managing area priorities effectively. The candidate will be punctual, self-starting and have a competitive drive. Maturity, reliability and a sense of pride are key defining attributes. Our drivers typically work a "5 +1" schedule: five days per week with a flex/on-call day. We like to be flexible but the schedule is ultimately determined by route coverage needs, and during Peak Season many drivers work up to six days.
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow through and deliver all packages safely and on time
• Complete all pick-ups assigned to route within the scheduled timeframe
• Deliver and scan every package according to proper procedure
• Meet and greet customers in a positive manner
• Safely operate box trucks and step vans (No CDL Required)
• Communicate promptly and effectively with management on time critical issues
• Important Characteristic: Speak, read and write English fluently (must meet Federal DOT requirements for communication with law enforcement)

Salary:

$170/day base pay, $1.00 per stop after 120 stop threshold.

Salary example: 150 stop route completed, $170.00 base + $30.00 stop incentive = $200.00 gross daily pay

Requirements

• 21 Years Old
• CDL NOT required
• Ability to pass DOT physical exam
• Pass pre-employment drug screening
• Pass criminal background check
• Pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
• High School or GED Diploma
• Cellphone with text and data capabilities
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Basic mathematical skills
• Basic map reading abilities
• Demonstrated proficiency in route operations
• Ability to meet driver qualifications
• Physical ability to regularly lift 50lb packages and maneuver up to 150lbs
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
