About the Role:
As a Calibration Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurement instruments and equipment used across various departments. Your expertise will directly impact product quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining calibration procedures to guarantee that all devices meet stringent performance criteria. Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Metrology, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in calibration of industrial or laboratory instruments.
- Strong understanding of calibration standards such as ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540.
- Proficiency in using calibration tools, software, and measurement devices.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures accurately.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Certification as a Calibration Technician (e.g., from the American Society for Quality or equivalent).
- Experience with automated calibration systems and data management software.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine calibration of a wide range of instruments and equipment according to established standards and procedures.
- Develop and update calibration documentation, including procedures, schedules, and reports to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot calibration issues, recommending corrective actions or equipment repairs as necessary.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and engineering teams to support audits, inspections, and validation activities.
- Maintain calibration records and ensure all instruments are properly labeled and stored to prevent damage or contamination.
