JOB SUMMARY
Support the site using maintenance mechanic skills and knowledge to achieve maximum productively, meeting customer needs, in compliance with safety, environmental, and other regulatory requirement. Promotes a spirit of cooperation between all departments and demonstrates a commitment to achieve the goals and objectives of the team, department, and plant. Must understand and implement all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, NJDEP, DPCC and other regulatory & safety related requirements to the position.
Requirements
- Maintain, repair, and install equipment in accordance with SOPs, manufacturing specifications, and manuals
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to support safe, efficient production and on-time delive
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and maintain accurate documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
- Fabricate, install, and modify equipment from prints, demonstrating mechanical and design capabilities.
- Repair, install, align, and operate pumps and other mechanical systems.
- Operate forklifts and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Implement and follow safety protocols, including PPE, permits, hazard assessments, and housekeeping standards.
- Identify hazards, report unsafe conditions, and support safety programs (HAZOPs, JSAs, incident response).
- Maintain tools and work areas in safe, clean, and working condition.
- Support production goals, equipment reliability, and plant productivity with minimal supervision.
- Train and assist team members while contributing to a collaborative work environment.
- Identify continuous improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in training, meetings, and ongoing skill development initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment
- Proven ability to maintain, repair, install, and troubleshoot mechanical equipment in accordance with SOPs and specifications.
- Hands-on experience with pump repair, installation, alignment, and general mechanical systems.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and maintain accurate inspection and maintenance records.
- Working knowledge of safety practices including PPE, permits, hazard assessments, and compliance procedures.
- Experience using standard maintenance tools and equipment; ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and support production schedules and operational goals.
- Physical capability to perform job duties including climbing, lifting, working at heights, and confined spaces.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Trade school or technical training in mechanical systems, welding, or pipefitting.
- Experience with fabrication, equipment installation, and reading technical drawings/prints.
- Background in pipefitting, welding, or advanced mechanical repair.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and maintenance tracking/documentation systems.
- Experience with continuous improvement, cost-saving initiatives, or process optimization.
- Knowledge of safety programs such as HAZOPs, JSAs, and incident response procedures.
- Experience training or mentoring team members in maintenance practices.
- Exposure to plant systems including piping, insulation, and process equipment.
