About the Role
Description
Med Resources, the premier provider of Respiratory and Home Medical Equipment in the Midwest and Georgia is seeking a reliable and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Driver/HME technician.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver and set up durable medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, hospital beds, and other assistive devices to patients using company vans
- Assist with setting up and demonstrating equipment use, ensuring patient satisfaction and compliance with company policies
- Assist the warehouse team when not performing duties outlined above. Includes unloading and restocking assigned van, cleaning and checking equipment, and general warehouse duties as needed
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, service records, and patient documentation
- Communicate with dispatch, patients and caregivers regarding delivery schedules and special needs
- Perform routine vehicle checks, report any maintenance issues and keep assigned van neat and organized
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures

Requirements
Requirements:
- Insurance and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and move heavy medical equipment (must be able to pass 50 lb. lift test)
- Ability to read maps
- Strong communication and customer service skills and a professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently
- DOT certified or ability to become DOT certified (Certification provided after hire)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Prefer candidates who live within a 30 minute drive of Lenexa, Kansas
