About the Role

Description

Exempt position for a degreed Engineer.  Responsible for the configuration, documentation, and maintenance of plant process control and data management systems in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

  

Duties

· Responsible for process control systems including:

Air pollution control & treatment systems;

Thermal (combustion) systems;

Mechanical - process piping and equipment (e.g. pumps) and process instrumentation.

· Program process logic and man-machine interface software.

· Manage subcontracted engineering and construction personnel. Prepare detailed scope and performance specifications per company standards. Prepare and maintain detailed budgets/schedules for procurements.

· Update and maintain engineering drawings and facility documentation for regulatory permit submittals and agency inspections (RCRA, TSCA, Radiological, etc).

· Monitor facility performance of engineered systems/equipment on-line availability and implement upgrades.

· Provide technical support to facility operations and maintenance groups including turnaround and equipment replacement/modification scheduling.

· Provide Facility maintenance group management.

· Provide systems historical data management for regulatory compliance reports including air semi-annual reports and RCRA and TSCA compliance status reports.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

· B.S. Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

· Strong PC capability in utilizing standard and custom software. Autocad skills.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Knowledge of Micro-DCS/PCC programming and one or more PC-based HMI software (e.g., Wonderware) preferred. Willing to train for learning programming software.

  

Working Conditions

Office environment approximately 60% of day, other 40% working in facility where there is potential for exposure to radiation, noise, dust and hot and cold temperatures. Climbing, walking and lifting will be normal daily requirements.
