 Job Title: Shot Peen - Masker & Sander

Employee Type: Full Time, Hourly

Shifts Available: 

  • 1st Shift Hours: Monday - Friday; 6:00am - 2:30pm 
  • 2nd Shift Hours: Monday - Friday; 2:00pm - 10:30pm 

Pay Rate: $17.00-19.00/hr DOE (Shift Differential pay for 2nd)

Reports to: Processing Manager 

Job Location: Wichita, KS, USA

 Job Duties 

  • Racking, un-racking, and moving materials
  • Sand and mask/unmask parts as needed
  • Assist with preparation of parts prior to & after shot peen forming
  • Will learn shot peen forming skills on the job
  • Help other plant workers by performing general labor duties
  • Keep work areas clean
  • Dependable, team-oriented, good communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Follow safety guidelines and wear proper PPE at all times

 Requirements:

  • Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must have prior experience using hand tools such as sanding equipment
  • Must be self-motivated and produce quality work
  • Must have excellent attendance record & reliable transportation
  • Open to learning a new skill; manual shot peen forming
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and good communication skills
  • Follow Company Safety rules and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
  • Any additional processing work assigned by manager.

 Working Conditions:

  • Some overtime may be necessary
  • The essential duties job may require the ability to stoop; to reach; to stand, and to walk for extended periods of time; to push and/or pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds; to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; to use finger dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment and hand strength to grasp files and other objects; to perceive the attributes of objects by touch; to hear and verbally exchange ideas and information with the public, staff and others in the office.  Frequently being on foot, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climb stairs and kneeling and/or crouch to retrieve items. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment. Writing to complete reports and service requests.  Occasionally Lifting and carrying (with assistance) items weighing 75-150 lbs. Must be able to wear safety PPE equipment, as required. Noise levels may require hearing protection.
