 At the administrative direction of the Radiology Director and the clinical direction of the Radiologist, independently performs majority of exams with minimal supervision done within the section of radiology. Requires knowledge of Federal and State regulatory agency standards related to healthcare organizations.  Cognitive and technical knowledge and ability to progressively manage care delivery across the continuum of care.  The ability to retrieve, communicate, and present data and information both verbally and in writing as required.  Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken and written work.  Must be flexible with work schedule.  Must maintain licenses of NMDRCB and must be CT registered with ARRT.  

The incumbent will carry-out  duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acts in the best    interest of Three Crosses Regional Hospital, and fully supports the mission, vision, and values of Three Crosses Regional Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality CT procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of CT/Radiology procedures.
  • Responsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinations.
  • Operate head or body x-ray scanners which create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan.
  • Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology. 
  • Cleaning and maintaining CT Scan equipment.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule.  
  • Attend staff meetings as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Required: Associate degree from an Accredited Radiology/CT Program
  • Required: 2+ years related experience
  • Required:  Must be ARRT (R) (CT) registered 
  • Required:  Active NM MIRTP Licensure (Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Program)
  • Required: Current BLS
