The Construction Clerk supports the procurement and construction teams by processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate records in Buildertrend (BT), and ensuring all documentation related to construction purchasing, deliveries, and job cost allocation is complete and organized. This position helps ensure smooth financial and operational workflows that enable the organization to meet its mission of building homes, communities, and hope.

Requirements
What You’ll Do
Support Construction Accounting & Procurement
- Process verified vendor and subcontractor invoices in Buildertrend (BT) for payment.
- Ensure all invoices, purchase orders, delivery records, and bills are properly documented.
- Allocate expenses to appropriate job cost accounts according to departmental procedures.
- Complete payment documentation by recording finance-processed payments in BT.
- Review and reconcile vendor statements as needed.
Maintain Accurate Records & Systems
- Enter bills, post deliveries, scan receipts, and update job records in Buildertrend.
- Assist with job setup and maintenance within BT.
- Maintain and update vendor and contractor compliance logs (NDOL, SOS, Certificates of Insurance).
- Perform data entry and filing related to construction payables, purchase orders, and billing.
Support Field & Team Operations
- Track field and plumbing labor hours weekly in Buildertrend.
- Provide administrative support that keeps construction projects running efficiently.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned to support construction operations.

What You Bring
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative, clerical, or accounting experience.
- Experience with construction accounting or management software (e.g., Buildertrend, NetSuite) preferred but not required.
- Buildertrend experience a plus.
Skills & Strengths

- Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems.
