Job Description

Student Service and Front-Line Support: Provides front-line support to students within the Tutoring Center framework to ensure timely assistance and a positive student experience.

Functions:

  1. Serves as the primary point of contact for students visiting the Tutoring Center;
  2. Assesses student needs and directs them to appropriate tutoring services or sessions;
  3. Provides information on available academic support services;
  4. Ensures a welcoming and supportive environment for students.

Scheduling and Operational Coordination: Coordinates daily tutoring operations within established procedures to ensure efficient scheduling and resource utilization.

Functions:

  1. Manages appointment scheduling and walk-in queues;
  2. Coordinates allocation of tutoring sessions and resources;
  3. Maintains order and organization of physical and virtual tutoring spaces;
  4. Supports smooth operation of tutoring sessions.

Data Entry and Record Management: Ensures accurate recording and maintenance of tutoring data within institutional systems to support monitoring and reporting processes.

Functions:

  1. Records student attendance and session utilization in relevant systems (e.g., SIS);
  2. Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of tutoring activities;
  3. Collects and inputs student feedback and session data;
  4. Ensures data accuracy and completeness.

Administrative and Communication Support: Provides administrative and communication support within ASC processes to ensure coordination and information flow.

Functions:

  1. Assists the Tutoring Coordinator with administrative tasks and documentation;
  2. Supports internal communication within the tutoring team;
  3. Coordinates scheduling updates and notifications for tutors and students;
  4. Prepares and maintains routine correspondence and documentation.

Support for Data and Reporting Processes: Supports data-driven processes within ASC frameworks to contribute to evaluation of tutoring effectiveness.

Functions:

  1. Provides data inputs to support analytical reports and program evaluation;
  2. Ensures timely submission of required data to relevant teams (e.g., Bridging Team);
  3. Assists in preparation of basic reports and summaries;
  4. Supports data collection processes.

Qualifications

Education requirements (level, field, licenses, professional certifications, etc.):

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Education, or a related field

Work experience requirements:

  1. 1 to 3 years of professional experience in administrative support, customer service, or office coordination
  2. Experience within a higher education or academic support environment is highly preferred

Knowledge, skills, and competencies requirements:

  1. Proficiency in utilizing scheduling software, CRM systems, and basic database management
  2. Strong organizational and time-management skills
  3. Strong understanding of the education legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Language requirements:

- Fluency in English, Kazakh, and Russian
