Seneca Lake Terrace, in Geneva, New York is actively seeking a full-time Director of Nursing (RN or LPN), also known as the Wellness Director, for our 65 bed Assisted Living Community. As part of the wellness team, the Wellness Director would provide strong leadership skills to the clinical department while ensuring compliance within federal and state guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Nursing/Wellness Department
  • Case Management: In conjunction with the ADON, responsible for case management to include but not limited to admission and retention of assisted living residents.
  • Ensures proper staffing levels and regulatory compliance
  • Creates and maintains monthly department schedule
  • Provide leadership development to the clinical staff
  • Work with the Business Office Manager to complete interview process
  • Meet with new nursing team members to review training and onboarding schedule
  • Maintains on-call schedule and rotation
  • Oversee the management of staff attendance and performance
  • Maintains meeting schedules for stand up, resident rounds, therapy, ect
  • Conduct quarterly audits for QA
  • Reviews of incident reports and post falls
  • Provide oversight and guidance for chart audits
  • Follow up on any internal investigations of theft, abuse, medication errors, falls, etc
  • Any medical pieces for LTC insurance paperwork
  • Assist with nursing care on the floor, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Must possess a valid RN or LPN license issued by the State of New York

· Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or a GED

· Must be available on call 24/7

· Must adhere to the Resident Bill of Rights

· Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday

· Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position

· Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds

· May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000-$115,000 per year

Requirements

  

· Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.

· Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.

· Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.

· Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.

· Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a medical and physical examination.

· Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, agitated residents

· Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.

· May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
