About the Role

JOB SUMMARY: Maintenance and repair of electronic equipment utilized by Acadian Ambulance. Working knowledge of electronic equipment, including but not limited to radio equipment, MDTs, pagers, televisions, VCRs intercom systems, etc.

  1. Install all electronic components on the ambulance, field, communications center, etc.
  2. Maintain all electronic equipment to include DXTs, paging systems, dispatch equipment, radio equipment in ambulance, televisions and VCRs in the field, intercom systems, etc.
  3. Maintain all radio towers and communication stations.
  4. Maintain links to tower sights
  5. Programming of portable radios, mobile radios, and base station repeaters
  6. Installation of VHF/UHF and 800MHz analog and digital voice and data systems, mobile and portable subscriber equipment
  7. Install and maintenance of ambulance equipment
  8. Installs and maintains public address systems, cellular phones, and basic 110-240 VAC electrical circuits
  9. Maintains and performs testing of portable and fixed site generators

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1. 2+ years of experience as a two way radio tech preferred
  2. Associates degree or equivalent from a technical school in electronics
  3. ETA Certification or equivalent industry certification a plus
  4. Clean driving record with Valid Driver’s license
  5. Working knowledge of electronic equipment, including but not limited to radio equipment, MDTs, pagers, televisions, VCRs, intercom systems, etc.
  6. Must be willing to work occasionally after normal business hours for on-call tech support
