WSFSSH was founded in 1976 and opened its first building in 1980. WSFSSH has steadily grown over the past twenty-five years and now operates twelve buildings, serving 1800 people with a wide range of housing needs.
About the Role

BILINGUAL (ENGLISH/SPANISH) CASEWORKER


Job Type: Full-time  

Position Type: 28 Hours

Reports to: Social Worker II 

Pay Rate: $26.37 to $30.22 per hour 

FLSA: Nonexempt hourly

WSFSSH creates and preserves affordable housing while supporting the development of healthy neighborhoods. 


JOB SUMMARY  

The Case Worker is expected to work under the guidance of the Social Worker II. They will develop 1:1 relationships with the residents which will enable them to provide a range services to the residents which enable the residents to establish and maintain safe and independent lives in the community. 

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Maintain accurateand organized case files, records, and reports.
  • Write progress notes after each resident encounter.
  • Develop individualized service plans with residents.
  • Draft correspondence, notices, and reminders for residents as needed.
  • Complete data entry of resident progress in internal databases.
  • Assist residents with general inquiries or referrals to services.
  • Accompany residents to appointments or community activities as needed.
  • Help facilitate social and recreational activities for residents.
  • Assisting preparing materials for group sessions or workshops.
  • Carry a caseload of residents who present less challenging.
  • Participate in team meetings and trainings.
  • Assist social workers in emergency situations as directed.
  • Report urgent resident concerns promptly to supervising social workers.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES  

  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good organizational ability, time management, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Desire or interest in working and supporting an aging population 

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CREDENTIALS  

Required: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, or related field preferred.
  • Interest in working with older adults and vulnerable populations.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to multiple sites
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Preferred: 

  • Experience in social services, supportive housing, or non-profit settings
