This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.The Technician II, Chemical Production Operations, is primarily responsible for handling technical tasks in pharmaceutical or contact lens production, including working with saline solutions, mixing compounds, maintaining equipment, and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
Job responsibilities:
• Handle technical tasks to support operations and enhance efficiency within defined procedures
• Work with saline solutions and mix compound ingredients for various formulations
• Perform maintenance on equipment like pumps, homogenizers, filter presses, and tablet compression machines
• Follow standard operating procedures to meet GMP standards and maintain accurate records
• Ensure compliance with Good Practice (GXP) requirements by inspecting products, addressing deviations promptly, and maintaining documentation
• Stay current with field advances and apply agile problem-solving by testing, iterating, and refining solutions
• Participate in team projects to develop process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
• Make minor decisions within task scope, requiring enhanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance in operations. • All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.
• Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization.
• Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.
Minimum requirement:
• Diploma fresh graduates may apply
• Diploma in any related field can be considered
• Diploma in Science Chemistry would be an added advantage
• Candidate with minimum 2 years of experience in Production would be an added advantage
• Must be willing to work in 12 hours rotational shift (weekly)
