Superintendent (Trg)

· In chargeof Course specific training and impart training on Navigational / Soft skill /safety courses / OEM / Vessel Specific training to seafarers at AEMTC.
· Development and Monitoring updates, improvements made to the courses periodically as course-in-charge.
Be in communication with other AE departments, Vessel and Fleet managers for Training Needs and improvement of courses as per the overall Organizational Needs.
A. Supervision of Training activities and need analysis
· As course in-charge take responsibility for up-dating and revising of course Master files, participants handout, prepare use and update PPTs, relevant videos, exercises, tests, incorporating new regulations, best industry practices and new training material received.
· Undertake overall supervision of the conduct of courses under their areas of expertise in consultation with Programme Head and as per QMS according to the relevant DNV/ National / International guidelines and standards.
· Carry out training activities to the best of abilities conforming to course plan and supplementing with practical experience and use AESM vessel related incidents.
· Conduct verification of courses and verify records are maintained and available for verification.
· Conducts course review meetings with course-in-charge and faculty related to that course. Ensure completion of post course documentation for timely certification of course participants /seafarers.
· Revisions to courses are communicated to the other AEMTCs for incorporation into their course and update the courseware.
· Identify Training needs based on AESM fleet incidents and inspection reports/ under the guidance of Programme Head.
· Monitor Non-routine messages and discuss with team members and prepare instructions for incorporating case studies in the courses under their charge.
B. Monitoring Documentation and handling of Non- compliances
· Ensure proactive steps to avoid Non-Compliance in Training process and documents.
· Ensure Documentation is maintained as per AEMTC Quality Standards and regulatory body requirements.
C. Monitoring Training hardware performance and up- keep
· Monitoring all training equipment, simulators or plants are up- kept in good condition and sufficient stock position of spare parts / consumable are maintained.
· Arrange inspection, calibration and annual testes in accordance with current standards/ legislations, guidance and manufacturer’s recommendations maintain records.
D. Development of Computer based Training modules
· Develop various Computer Based Training modules as per the management requirement by collecting information from vessels and Technical / Operational / QHSE Dept of AESM worldwide Offices.
· Liaise with external bodies to provide remote assistance and address specific queries from the vessels.
Communication
External: Industries bodies, Managers of Shipping companies, Training Institutes, Directorate General of Shipping, Mercantile Marine Department, Indian Maritime University / Mumbai University.
Internal: AE Trg centre, FPD dept, QHSE dept, Vessel Managers, Fleet Managers, Operation Managers and QHSE Managers.
Knowledge & ExperienceEducation:
- Master Mariner Class I – COC from a reputed Flag State or Other Specialized Qualification.
- Other Specialized Training courses and certification.
Experience:
· Master of min 1 yr. sailing experience
· 3-4 yrs. teaching experience

· Other Marine Specialization / diploma / degrees
