The Role

Kyndryl Consult is the fastest-growing business within the organisation and instrumental to the company’s strategic growth objectives. You will play a key leadership role across multi-disciplinary teams, guiding them through complex consulting engagements and be responsible for creating and positioning strategic change agendas within Kyndryl’s largest accounts across the C-suite, spanning the intersection between complex Business and IT customer solutions, transformations that impact across the entire customer ecosystem.

As a Consult Partner, you will have a pivotal role in driving profitable growth, leveraging our comprehensive capabilities to build strong client relationships, and leading your team to success. This role demands a strong presence, industry expertise, and the ability to cultivate relationships with CXO-level clients. Your leadership will be critical in fostering talent development and innovation within the organisation.

This role will also lead the overall client engagement and deliver high-quality client work alongside senior client stakeholders. Working in a transaction environment, which may include capital markets transformation, front-to-back operating model change, trading platform modernisation, regulatory change, pre-deal and post-deal integration, planning implementation and ultimately supporting execution. Partners will be focused on financial impact, utilisation and contribution, client impact and leadership.

A Consult Partner will be aligned to one of our core value pillars: Technical Continuous Modernisation, Innovation at Scale, or Security and Resilience. They will also have an industry focus in Capital Markets, including investment banking, sales & trading, securities services, market infrastructure and post-trade operations.

Candidates must have a strong track record of delivering large-scale capital markets and digital transformation engagements, deep client relationships across investment banks, global markets and financial market infrastructure organisations, and proven ability to shape and lead complex consulting programmes aligned to one or more of our core value propositions.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

Contribute to Profitable Growth

  • Drive significant financial outcomes through signings and revenue targets consisting of c. £12–15m per annum in volume (i.e. Consult) sales whilst overseeing a similar target for managed revenue.

  • Ensure sustained growth and profitability, managing margin expectations and backlog growth.

  • Support the identification, pursuit and conversion of a pipeline of Capital Markets consulting and technology transformation opportunities.

  • Undertake scoping and fee negotiation on engagements while ensuring profitability and understanding, and containing risk.

Client Engagement

  • Build and maintain deep relationships with client CXOs and be seen as the “go-to” person and a trusted advisor by senior executives.

  • Lead C-level client interactions and consulting initiatives, deliverables and outputs of a deal engagement.

  • Demonstrate credibility and experience advising clients on capital markets transformation, trading technology, front-to-back operating model change, regulatory programmes and complex consulting engagements.

  • Enhance client satisfaction, as measured by Net Promoter Score (NPS) and new relationship development; secure client references.

Operational Excellence

  • Achieve individual and team utilisation targets.

  • Lead the design of complex engagements, including front-to-back transformation, trading platform modernisation, cloud migration, data transformation and regulatory change programmes, taking responsibility for the oversight of delivery, ensuring high performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Act as the ongoing client escalation point for delivery engagements where the Consult Partner has the CXO / Sponsor key relationship

Required Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in client engagement and relationship management at the CXO level.

  • Demonstrable ability to build and commercialise relationships with senior executives.

  • Proven track record of selling, leading and executing complex projects with multi-disciplinary teams in a consulting, corporate or financial services environment.

  • Effective financial acumen with experience in driving revenue growth and managing margins.

  • Experience in managing or supporting high-value business development activities with senior stakeholders.

  • Candidates must have experience in Technical Continuous Modernisation, Innovation at Scale, or Security and Resilience, along with a strong industry focus in Capital Markets, including experience across Front Office, Risk, Operations, Finance or Market Infrastructure.

  • Experience delivering transformation programmes across one or more of the following domains: Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Listed or OTC Derivatives, Prime Services, Securities Services, Clearing & Settlement, Market Risk, Treasury, or Regulatory Change (e.g. MiFID II, EMIR, Basel III, BCBS239).

  • Deep understanding of capital markets trends, trading platforms, market infrastructure, regulatory change and financial technology.

  • Sound personal brand and presence in the industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive change.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Productivity Skills

Exceptional and advanced PowerPoint, Word & Excel skills to help convey messages and deliverables through modern consulting techniques. Ability to “roll up sleeves” and create/provide content for proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs) and deliverables. Ensure client and deliverable deadlines, and consult management system compliance. Takes pride in creating polished work products.

Communication

Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate insights from findings to relevant stakeholders. Able to manage communication at working levels and demonstrate C-level gravitas. Able to drive and participate in workshops, clearly outlining outcomes and creating/presenting materials and deliverables.

Work with Empathy

Lead and participate in client and internal Kyndryl teams with empathy. Ability to understand and recognise multiple points of view while driving positive outcomes with kindness and resolve. Works effectively within a complex matrixed business and client environment as well as independently.

Leadership
