Role Purpose: The purpose of this role is to support delivery of accurate, timely and well-controlled tax compliance and reporting across the Group. The role focuses on execution of standardised tax processes, including Global Minimum Tax calculations, while applying sound accounting judgement to ensure data integrity, identify risks, and support high-quality reporting to Group.

Organisation Context: The role sits within the Group Tax function and supports tax compliance, reporting and data processes across multiple jurisdictions. The role works closely with finance teams and contributes to Group reporting cycles and tax governance frameworks.

Key Accountabilities

  • Tax Compliance & Reporting
    • Compile, reconcile, and validate financial data used in tax filings. 
    • Perform routine tax computations and complete standard templates in a timely and controlled manner. 
    • Contribute to Global Minimum Tax calculation processes, including data collection, standardised calculations, and preparation of supporting schedules. 
    • Prepare working papers and reconciliations to support group reporting, ensuring audit-ready documentation. 
    • Monitor and track filing deadlines to ensure full compliance with internal and external requirements. 
  • Data management and reconciliations:
    • Extract, process, and reconcile data from finance systems and reporting tools. 
    • Execute process-driven and standardised tax workflows with discipline and consistency. 
    • Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies in tax-related balances. 
    • Highlight unusual movements, data inconsistencies, or potential risks identified during reporting processes. 
    • Maintain structured, well-documented, and audit-ready supporting files. 
  • Continuous improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, standardise outputs, and reduce manual effort. 
    • Support implementation of automation initiatives and improved data workflows. 
    • Contribute to strengthening data quality and consistency across tax processes. 

Performance measures

  • Over 95% accuracy in tax computations and filings with minimal post-review adjustments on processes and financial data
  • 100% on-time completion of assigned filings, templates, and reporting deliverables except for out of control factors
  • Meets internal reporting deadlines (incl. Group reporting and Pillar Two timelines)
  • Timely resolution of queries from reviewers within agreed turnaround timelines
  • All deliverables supported by clear, audit-ready working papers with full traceability
  • Compliance with internal control frameworks (checklists completed, reviewer comments addressed)
  • Reconciliations completed with no unexplained variances above agreed thresholds
  • All key balances tied back to source systems (GL / sub-ledger) with documented support
  • Proactively identifies and escalates discrepancies, unusual movements, or risks early in the cycle
  • Consistent adherence to standard templates, workflows, and documented procedures
  • Supporting files are structured, complete, and readily usable for audit without significant rework
  • Demonstrated reduction in manual effort / processing time for assigned tasks
  • Active contribution to automation initiatives (e.g. testing, data mapping, implementation support)
  • Reduction in manual adjustments or offline fixes

Core requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related discipline. 
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, tax, or audit; strong fresh graduates will be considered. 
  • Basic understanding of corporate tax and accounting principles is preferred. 
  • Exposure to tax reporting or financial reporting is an advantage. 

Preferable skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. 
  • Ability to perform routine, process-driven tasks with consistency and discipline. 
  • Strong data organisation and structuring capability (incl. large datasets)
  • Good analytical skills with ability to derive insights from data
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines. 
  • Effective communication and willingness to learn. 
  • Proficiency in Excel (data manipulation, reconciliations, formulas) is required. 
  • Experience with Alteryx or similar data automation tools is preferred.
