Job Description
Purpose and Scope:
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating day-to-day operational activities within department team. The duties and responsibilities of a lead can vary depending on the day-to-day company needs, size, and organizational structure. May be responsible for multiple short term and long-term projects, so ability to prioritize and maintain organization. Reporting directly to the operations manager.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises a team of employees within a particular operational area.
- Provide direction, guidance, and support to team members, ensuring that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
- Identifying inefficiencies in existing processes and implementing improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
- Streamlining workflows, standardizing procedures, and introducing new tools or technologies.
- Resolve day-to-day operational issues that arise within their department or team.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assess the performance of team against established metrics, identify areas for improvement, and take corrective actions as needed to ensure targets are met.
- Responsible for training new employees and providing ongoing development opportunities for existing team members.
- Ensure that team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Communicate important information to their team and serve as a point of contact for any operational issues or inquiries.
- Conduct regular audits or inspections and take corrective actions to address any deviations from quality requirements.

Skills / Qualifications:
- Analytical skills to identify root causes of problems and develop effective solutions to address them promptly
Job Competency / QualificationsEducation/ Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
Technical Requirements:
- Technical skills and knowledge in Warehouse, Logistics, Operations and Fulfillment.
Experience:
- At least two (2) years of related work experience in a warehouse, fulfilment center or logistics required.
