We're looking for a National Key Account Manager to take full ownership of the COREtec Flooring brand across Australia — a high-activity, hands-on role for someone who prefers being out in the field rather than behind a desk. You'll lead an $8M+ national portfolio built around 120+ retail and distribution partners, making sure they're supported, their staff are trained, and COREtec remains their first choice for flooring. Reporting directly to the APAC management team and acting as the primary face of the brand nationwide, you'll be the driving force behind COREtec's flooring growth in one of its most important residential markets — backed by a leading global flooring group under Berkshire Hathaway. Our ideal candidate locations are based in (or open to relocating to) Melbourne or Sydney, where our offices are located — Melbourne preferred.
Responsibilities
Account Management: Maintain and grow relationships across a national base of 120+ retail and distribution partners, serving as the primary point of contact and negotiating with senior decision-makers, including managing directors, operations managers, and state sales managers.
Sales Training: Conduct in-person training for retail and distribution partners to give their teams the tools to sell COREtec effectively.
Presentations: Deliver clear, professional brand presentations to clients and stakeholders.
National Travel: Regular travel is required to cover WA, VIC, SA, NSW, and QLD — you'll be comfortable with frequent interstate trips (roughly 30%+ of your time in the field).
Reporting: Provide straightforward, analytical updates to the APAC management team on market conditions, account health, and sales progress.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3 years in a professional sales role.
Travel: A genuine willingness to travel interstate frequently.
Visa: Must have a valid Australian visa with full working rights.
Location: Must be based in QLD, NSW, or VIC.
Soft Skills: Organized enough to manage a large client list and confident enough to present to groups.
Technical Knowledge: No prior technical flooring knowledge is required; we will provide the necessary product training.
Highly Preferred Experiences
5+ years of B2B sales experience in building products, flooring, or interiors.
Experience selling into the commercial builder / volume-builder channel, with the ability to grow that end of the business.
A track record of negotiating with and presenting to C-suite and senior decision-makers.
Strong digital acumen — confident using CRM systems for reporting and building account and marketing plans.
Team or people leadership experience.
Exposure to P&L responsibility, with the ability to grow into ownership of the Australia P&L.
Based in (or open to relocating to) Melbourne or Sydney, where our offices are located — Melbourne preferred.
A genuine motivation for frequent national travel and working out in the market.
