Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Psychiatrist Medical Director for The Family Counseling Center in Gloversville, New York.

  • Base Salary: $300,000-$350,000.

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Provide medical leadership for outpatient psychiatric services within a mission-driven behavioral health organization.
  • Balance direct psychiatric care with executive oversight, clinical supervision, and program leadership.
  • Supervise Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and support consistent, high-quality psychiatric practice standards.
  • Oversee psychiatric and substance use services while supporting trauma-informed, client-centered care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to improve quality, access, and continuity of care.
  • Participate in policy development, program development, quality initiatives, and clinical leadership decisions.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Board Certified Psychiatrist.
  • Active New York Medical License.
  • Active DEA registration.
  • Experience supervising multidisciplinary clinical teams.
  • Comfort overseeing psychiatric and substance use services.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed, client-centered outpatient behavioral health care.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
