We are seeking Transportation Planning and Engineering professionals to join our teams here at AECOM! We are looking for Transportation professionals at all grades, including:

  • Regional/Technical Director
  • Associate Director
  • Principal Consultant/Engineer

Are you ready to challenge the boundaries of what's possible? We're seeking dynamic Transportation Planners and Engineers at all levels, to bring their technical expertise but also an innovative mindset to our teams across Ireland.

Whether you have a transport planning, traffic or highways engineering background, or have unconventional experience that adds fresh value, we'd love to hear from you.

Our key clients include Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), the National Transport Authority (NTA) and Irish Rail to whom we have provided transportation planning and engineering services for many years.  Current and recent projects include:  

  • DART+
  • Adare Bypass
  • BusConnects
  • Luas expansion
  • National Mobility Hubs Pilot
  • Strategic planning advice to TII
  • Greenway schemes Various greenways nationally, including the Galway City to Oughterard Greenway
  • Major IÉ Rail Schemes
  • Major TII Road Schemes
  • Area Based Transport Assessments nationally
  • Active travel and urban public realm projects nationally 

Successful candidates must have a proven track record in the delivery of transport planning or engineering projects in Ireland and be fully conversant with the technical standards that apply.

We develop projects from concept through to operation, providing engineering and construction services for large-scale projects for major rail and transit agencies. Our specialists provide analytical and strategic expertise for every stage of a project.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Degree (BSc or MSc) in Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics, or a related field.
  • Progress towards Chartered status would be advantageous but is not a pre-requisite. The team will provide support in achieving chartered status.
  • Demonstrable understanding of current design codes, standards, and best practices in geotechnical or structural/tunnel design (role dependent), but also open to exploring new methods and innovations.
  • Proven leadership experience in similar roles, appropriate to your level, with an ability to inspire and lead teams.
  • Clean Driving licence.
